The market is not short on domain ideas.

It is short on proof.

That was the clearest lesson from today’s research and from the top NamePros discussions this week.

The most-viewed and most-commented NamePros posts were not only about one thing. They covered sales data, buyer requests, outbound setup, appraisal questions, auctions, renewals, and payment friction.

But underneath those topics, the same question kept showing up:

Can this domain survive a better filter?

A buyer request for a legal app does not mean every legal name is good.

A thread about outbound email domains does not mean outbound can rescue weak inventory.

A sales-volume article does not mean every extension with reported sales is equally liquid.

And a pricing/appraisal thread does not mean the name has a buyer path just because people can debate it.

Today’s file had the same lesson.

The list was large. The final actionable list was small.

What NamePros Was Signaling This Week

I checked NamePros public weekly discovery pages for the site’s This week filter.

The top posts by attention and discussion included:

SignalExample From NameProsWhy It Matters For Buying
Sales data gets attentionA NameBio first-half 2026 sales-volume analysis was the top viewed weekly item.Investors want market data, but sales history only helps if the current name has realistic buyer demand.
Buyer requests are specificA $5k legal-app buyer request received heavy discussion.Real buyers usually describe a lane. They are not buying every name that merely contains a legal keyword.
Outbound is still confusingA thread asked which domains investors should use when sending outbound emails.Outbound operations matter, but the name still needs a clear buyer path before email tactics matter.
Pricing is uncertainAppraisal and pricing threads like ClimateRoom drew replies. If a name needs a long debate before anyone can explain the buyer, the filter may be weak.
Renewal pressure is realRenewal and “leaving domain investing” discussions appeared in the weekly list.Bad buys do not only cost acquisition price. They become renewal drag.

That is the context for today’s research.

The point was not to find the most interesting words.

The point was to find names where the data, buyer path, extension, price, and risk all lined up.

Research Result First

Today’s research covered four lanes:

  • one-word / premium-extension watchlist,
  • closeout domains,
  • deleted .com expired domains,
  • pending-delete .com dropping domains.

Here is the clean version.

CategoryFinal ResultWhat Passed The Filter
One word domains742 rows reviewed across dropping and expired groups.Dropping produced 13 Azad-pass names and 7 buyer-led watch names. Expired produced 4 Azad-pass names and 8 buyer-led watch names.
